| There may be occasions where you need to
amend the details on a Birth, Death or Marriage Certificate. Changes may include;
- Adding information that may not have been known at the time of
registration;
- Correcting a spelling mistake on the certificate;
- Modifying information that was incorrectly supplied; or
- to Add Parent's Details to a birth registration.
Where the Registry has made the error, a replacement certificate will be issued in exchange for
the old certificate at no charge.
Death Certificate – Matter Referred To Coroner
If you've received a finding for a cause of death from the coroner and require an updated death certificate, please contact us.
If you have a previously issued death certificate without the cause of death (or a coroner has amended the details of the death), a new certificate will be issued at no additional cost.
If you have the original certificate it will need to be returned before a new one can be issued, otherwise contact us.
