| Couples marrying or registering a relationship between 14 February 2011 and 13 February 2012 are eligible to apply for a free standard marriage or relationship certificate.
Fees for urgent or commemorative certificates still apply.
The standard fees for marriage and relationship certificates will apply from 14 February 2012.
Couples applying to register a relationship after 16 January 2011 will incur the normal certificate fee, since the registration cannot be made until 28 days after the application. Postal applications
Photocopies must be certified as true copies of the original by a Qualified Witness (eg, Justice of the Peace; Notary Public; Legal Practitioner with current practising certificate; and/or a person authorised to administer an Oath under S. 26 of the Oaths Act 1900.)
