[issued 2 October 2018]
Lots of our customers have asked us "Can I buy a commemorative certificate without buying a standard one as well? I already have the standard certificate, but I just want that decorative one for someone special in my family…"
Of course, you need the standard birth (or marriage) certificate for official purposes but a commemorative makes the perfect keepsake. And, with all our new designs you might spot something you missed out on the first time.
Our commemoratives now come in a huge range of designs – with more coming all the time! So, instead of buying the package ($81 for a standard and a commemorative) you can buy a commemorative on its own ($39 for a "standalone").
Just make your selection on the online form, or on our paper birth and marriage certificate application forms.
Parents of a newborn do not have the option to buy a standalone commemorative birth certificate, after registering the baby online. They will be able to add commemorative/s onto their order for a standard certificate (valued at $56). Additional commemoratives can be purchased in this way at $25 each.
Why not have a look at all our commemorative designs and consider buying one on its own?
Among the latest, are two commemorative birth certificates by an Indigenous artist.
