National Archives of the United Kingdom

This Irish website contains extensive archival information relating to births, deaths and marriages. It also provides a comprehensive list of genealogical groups and societies around Ireland.

The General Register Office for Scotland runs this website. Users must register to take advantage of the full search facilities. Prices are in British Pounds but there is a currency converter. Updated regularly.

This is a free online community for genealogists. The Rootsweb Surname List consists of a Registry of over a million surnames submitted by more than 225,000 online genealogists.
