| Using the new Birth Certificate |

- Your new Birth Certificate can be used in Australia.
- In jurisdictions where a change of sex is not legally
recognised, you cannot use your new Birth
Certificate. In these jurisdictions you must tell the person relying
on your certificate that your gender has been changed or
use your old Birth Certificate.
