Commemorative certificates

Along with a standard certificate (commonly used to establish identity), we also offer Commemorative certificates to mark special moments in your life. Whether a recent life event or one from many years ago, age is no barrier to applying. Find out more about:

New! Australian Classics 

​Join the excitement as we remember some great Australian Classics... 50 years of Play School, 75 years of Blinky Bill, and 100 years of May Gibbs' Gumnut Babies!

When you order the $81 Commemorative Birth Certificate package you receive a Commemorative and a Standard Birth Certificate (valued at $56) for official purposes. With each package, you have the option to add on further Commemorative Certificates at $25 each. 

Make your selection on the birth certificate application when you apply. All Commemorative birth certificates are printed on archival quality paper and come in a framing size of 279mm x 355mm. They are beautifully presented, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and packaged in a protective cylinder.

Designs are constantly evolving and may change slightly over time or be discontinued. Commemorative marriage certificates do not contain security features and organisations may not accept them as a proof of identity document.

​May Gibbs 

Author and illustrator, May Gibbs has captured the hearts and imaginations of generations of Australians with her lovable bush characters and fairy-tale landscapes and in 2016 we celebrated 100 years since we were first introduced to her iconic gumnut babies.

When she died, May Gibbs bequeathed her works to The Northcott Society and Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Through her foresight, May Gibbs has helped thousands of Australian children with disability and their families.
