Australia Post Applications

From 14-Dec-09 you may lodge your application for a standard (non-urgent) birth, death or marriage certificate at participating regional Australia Post outlets.


Australia Post outlets will accept applications during their normal business hours. They have invested in leading edge technology to process applications efficiently and securely. Trained personnel using processes designed around the highest levels of privacy and security of information will handle each application.

Australia Post Office Locator - for directions and opening hours. Processing times for Australia Post applications are the same as non-urgent postal applications submitted to the Registry. Local Courts will no longer process applications for birth, death and marriage certificates in locations with participating Australia Post outlets.
Application Forms
Complete an online application, print it off and lodge at Postal outlet. Payment by EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa or cash (no cheques).

$58.00 Fee for any standard (non-urgent) birth, death or marriage certificate lodged at an Australia Post outlet (includes a $20.00 non-refundable processing fee).
