The full details of all lawful marriages that occurred in NSW must be registered by us, in accordance with:

• Births, Death and Marriages Registration Act 1995 (s.33)
  
  
• Commonwealth Marriage Act 1961.

After the marriage ceremony, your civil or religious celebrant is required to forward the paperwork to the Registry within 14 days to register your marriage.

• Registrations Processing Times
  Once we have received the the paperwork, please allow for processing time to register the marriage, and produce your Standard and Commemorative Marriage Certificates.
